North Down MLA Alex Easton has welcomed the announcement by the Minister for the Environment, Edwin Poots on the news that planning permission has been granted for a new Sainsbury’s store in Bangor. He said that it will give greater consumer choice and provide Bangor with 350 new jobs. Speaking today Alex Easton said:
“I welcome the announcement by Minister Edwin Poots to grant planning permission for a new Sainsbury’s store in Bangor.
It will offer consumers more choice and create 350 new jobs, which is most welcome in the current economic climate.
This is a demonstration that devolution is delivering for the people of Northern Ireland with local politicians working to create a vibrant, prosperous and better society.
The economy and job creation is a key goal for us in Government in these testing economic times. This announcement, amongst many, proves that we are delivering for the people of Northern Ireland.”
